Mongezi Ncombo was born in Mthatha in the Eastern Cape. He studied Visual Art and Design at the Central Johannesburg College,2012. In 2010 he enrolled at Artist Proof Studio. In 2021 he was selected as one of the exceptional artists in the Spier Art Trust mentorship program, exhibited with the Nando’s Creative Exchange and the Spier Art Trust at the Ava Gallery and the GIF gallery in Gqeberha. In 2023, he exhibited with the Toyota SU Woordfees exhibition and auction with Lizamore & Associates and Strauss & Co in the Stellenbosch Town Hall.
