Nanini Mgandela is a multidisciplinary visual and performing artist from Mthatha, Eastern Cape, South Africa. With a background spanning fashion design, music, sound engineering, theatre, film, and television, her creative journey began at the age of nine with a deep passion for composing music.
In 2007, Nanini moved to Johannesburg to pursue performing arts, studying stage acting at the Market Theatre Laboratory and later production and art at AFDA. Recognizing the challenges artists face in the music and television industries, she sought to gain business knowledge to work independently rather than rely on music labels and production companies.
In 2009, she launched Dela Nan Fashion, a luxury fashion label specializing in handcrafted leather bags, painted fabrics, and carefully curated textiles. With nearly two decades in the fashion and entertainment industries, Nanini remains driven by a vision of economic and creative empowerment for artists and entrepreneurs in the arts.
