Petros Mwenga was born in 1985, in Harare, Zimbabwe. He is currently based in Johannesburg. Mwenga completed visual arts training at the Zimbabwe National Arts Gallery in 2007. Since then, he has been in a number of exhibitions in galleries in Zimbabwe and South Africa; namely, Gallery Delta, Manor Gallery, Bamboo Gallery, the United States Embassy and Constitution Hill in Johannesburg. Petros Mwenga has also won several awards, including the 2002 United Nations second place prize for the Harare national school competition, first prize at the 2011 black like us exhibition, and the 2013 Fine Art Business achievement at Manor Gallery.
