Simon Moshapo Jnr is a South African visual artist born in Elim, Limpopo, in 1991 and raised in Indermark. He completed a National Diploma in Fine Art at Tshwane University of Technology in 2015 and now works full-time as an artist at August House, Johannesburg.
His multidisciplinary practice spans sculpture, painting, printmaking, and drawing, with a particular focus on materiality and form. Through his use of both natural and processed woods, Moshapo explores layered narratives of identity, resilience, and contemporary South African experience.
